![]() I’ve created a highlight on my Instagram feed where I will be posting updates regularly. You are truly going to be immersed in each step of in the process, step by step until we launch next year! It is my hope that my story telling throughout the process captivates you as much as the opera captivated me. We can’t wait to introduce you to the artisans who have generational knowledge behind each handcrafted design. Then onto materials, textiles, trims, and embellishments! We will even take you inside the Italian factories to see where Sarah Flint makes her shoes – because let’s be honest, origin matters. It’s going to be a beautiful experience to see each moving part of the design process – experience how harmoniously they all come together, from the inspiration trip to picking the shape, style, and heel height. In retrospect, my experience at the Opera, in a way, feels like a beautiful analogy for the upcoming year we have designing my shoe. It’s a true craft and talent to perform with a team so harmoniously, to captivate an audience so intensely. The violin bows were all so beautifully synchronized, and the movement of the conductor’s arms was hypnotizing. We also visited Schönbrunn Palace the gardens were a truly magical place.Īnd it wouldn’t be a trip to Vienna without a visit to the Opera – we saw Il Barbiere di Siviglia, an Italian classic! As stunning as the performance was, my eyes were fixated on the orchestra. We had the most incredible time exploring the works of Gustav Klimt, Ferdinand Georg, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh at the Belvedere Palace. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Flint moved to Italy to study. When she founded her namesake brand in 2013, she wanted to implement the qualities she constantly found herself missing from luxury women’s footwear. A collection inspired by the city of Vienna and a city rich with architectural charm, art, history, and culinary treasures that we so delightfully discovered on our design trip. Massachusetts native Sarah Flint has been shoe-obsessed for as long as she can remember. I’m truly honored to be working alongside Sarah and her incredible team to develop a shoe that will be a part of Fall ’22. And as this is my first ever design collaboration, quality is my biggest priority, and I know it’s Sarah’s as well. It’s always been essential that I work with a designer who I am confident in as a customer first. My hesitation has always been surrounding quality. So many of you have kindly supported me through the years, asking when I will come out with a collection or a design collaboration. I can honestly say, I’ve gotten more than the cost per wear when it comes to the booties. The lowest price I’ve seen was 225 for the Mirjana sandals. It’s one of the reasons I was so keen on working with Sarah Flint. The common price range I’ve seen for a pair of Sarah Flint shoes is 445, the highest I’ve seen is 775 for a pair of riding boots. I fell in love with Sarah’s work, quality, comfort, and craftsmanship close to five years ago and have been a devout customer since. From my favorite wearable and walkable Natalie Flat to her Perfect Pump and my personal favorite I wear pretty much daily, the Emma Sling. That being said, it probably goes without saying that my Sarah Flint collection has grown to 12 pairs for a good reason. I’ve been championing Sarah and wearing her designs for years. There are honestly too many posts to list here so feel free to peruse all of my blog posts wearing Sarah Flint here. A woman who I am honored to call a friend and truly needs no introduction. I also really love the look of the Lana.In case you missed it, I’m designing a shoe!Īfter a whirlwind of four days in Vienna, the shoe design process officially begins with New York-based designer Sarah Flint. I almost forgot about the Natalie! How could I forget about her?!?! The perfect flat that everyone is gushing over. If you want a heal with your sandal then grab the perfect block sandal – supportive and pretty. I also love the Mirjana it’s a very en vogue style right now. Buy a pair and you’re set for the rest of your summers. If you’re looking for a summer sandal look no further than the Greer. At the time, the price was 355-half the price of the other designer shoes, although arguably still pricey. I love Margaret Josephs and her quip about “the higher the heel the better you feel” but my feet just can’t take working in anything above the 85mm. I did some research and discovered that it was the Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 100 (using this link will automatically apply 50 off through my brand ambassador affiliation, or enter the code SARAHFLINT-BAMIRUNA at checkout). I recommend the 50mm for everyday wear, the 85mm for those days when you need to kick some *ss, and if you can manage the 100mm then those are for the days you need to be closer to God. There’s a reason for the name right?! Best part is they come in three different heights. Sarah Flint has some of the most beautiful shoes around.
